Happy Birthday to my Mom!!! Grandma Susan would be so proud of all of her babies. It is so crazy to me that we lost her at such a young age and yet she lives on so strongly in all of her children and our children and now her great grandchildren. She fought such a courageous battle but her body couldn't rally any more strength. The loss for us as children is just too huge to describe even to this day. The strength of family and the strength she passed on to us is what carried us through those dark times. The tears I cry now are still tears of sadness for our loss, but more often tears of joyous memories that I share with my children and grandchildren. So today on grandma Susan's birthday I will close my eyes for a moment and be thankful for the brief time we had her here. I'm thankful for every bit of energy she put into her children when her own survival took so much of it. I'm thankful for her favorite things that became some of my favorite things. I'm thankful for the absolute love I felt as a child and still feel as an adult. I'm thankful for who I am today because of the mother I was blessed with. So happy Happy HAPPY Birthday to Grandma Susan. Some day we shall meet again but for now keep smiling down on all of your babies!!!
